I upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7 , after which my LaserJet P continued to work but not for all software. I would run the uninstall and reinstall the printer in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Download the latest printer driver. Extract the files. Right click on the setup file HPSetup or Setup. Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select Windows 8 from the drop down list. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
